Some Issues We are Working on...
The beginning of the session brings many bills. Some will be combined, others will die. These are the main topics we are following, and at this time, there may be multiple bill numbers addressing the topic.
Workplace Violence
After participating in the state-wide task force to address workplace violence prevention strategies for home-care workers, we will continue to advocate for changes that will value the nurses and others working in the home, and prioritize their safety.
Drug Task Force
Pharmaceuticals are an integral piece of patient care. Challenges related to the high cost and limited access compromise patient care, leading to preventable complications and placing additional strain on the healthcare system.
ER Crowding
ER Boarding and Crowding
ER's reflect the health of a community and the health care system's ability to meet their needs. Two CT Nurses Association members participated in this committee for the past two years. Let's get ensure we have the staffing to get patients the care they need.
We are monitoring over a 100 bills that impact nurses, nursing, and public health. Read more.
