Laura Smits has been an active member of the League of Women Voters for over 20 years and a League Women Voters CT board member since 2017. A former advertising copywriter and corporate spokesperson, she has also been a freelance writer, radio talk show host, and substitute teacher. A Connecticut native, Laura currently lives in Norwalk where she is an Elections Moderator and a firm believer that every vote (and every voice) counts.
