    Preparing Nurses for Board Service

    Interested in serving on a board but not sure how?

    Boards of directors, committees, and task forces NEED the wisdom of nurses guiding governance. 

    Learn how to use your nursing talents and experience to shape decisions that impact health in a variety of settings: healthcare boards, municipal government, community & charitable agencies

    Earn Up to 20 CNE hours!

    This educational program for nurses in CT will focus on board competencies as defined by C. Curran, author of Nurse on Board: Planning your path to the Boardroom.   

    Program highlights

    • Attend eight face-to-face sessions, hear from industry leaders, content experts, engage in board simulations and apply and discuss new knowledge and concepts presented online
    • Included!  Registration in an online certificate program on board competencies. Identified modules to be completed prior to face to face sessions to mirror objectives of live sessions.  Receive a continuing education contact hour certificate and pin
    • Included!  One CT Nurses Association networking session to interact with nurses currently serving on boards of directors
    • Included!  Receive Curran’s book, Nurse on Board: Planning your path to the boardroom
    • Continuing Nursing Education contact hour certificate
